FIDE Grand Prix London 2012
The 1st FIDE Grand Prix takes place in Simpson’s-in-the-Strand in London 20th September to 3rd October 2012. Play starts at 2pm each day. The field has undergone a number of changes. Nakamura, Ivanchuk, Grischuk, Topalov, Wang Hao, Gelfand, Leko, Giri, Mamedyarov, Dominguez Perez, Adams and Kasimdzhanov.

ANAND RETAINS WORLD CHESS TITLE
Viswanathan Anand retains The World Chess Champion's title after defeating Boris Gelfand in the Rapids of the World Chess Championship 2012 with a score of 2.5-1.5 After 12 Classical games the score stood even at 6-6.Many believed Anand would most likely defeat Boris easily,but Boris showed his true fighting spirit as the match progressed.

Kramnik-Aronian Match 2012

Vladimir Kramnik and Levon Aronian will play a six game training match starting on 4-21-12
The contest will be played at a Classical Chess time-control to be employed in the next Candidates tournament, with 40 moves in two hours, 20 moves in one hour plus 15 minutes and an increment of 30 seconds per move for the remainder of the game.
Kramnik and Aronian will play an additional Rapid game if the main game on any given day is drawn in under three hours. The match is being organised by the Zurich Chess Club
